Zero to Hero: Eco-Solutions through Creative Sewing
About the 2025 Green Initiative
The 2025 edition of the "Zero to Hero dalam Bidang Jahitan" program introduces a pioneering framework: "Eco-Solutions through Creative Sewing". This co-developed masterclass between PPB Group Berhad and the Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) addresses global environmental challenges while answering local social needs.
With global textiles generating nearly 10% of global carbon emissions and over 80% of discarded garments remaining viable for repurposing, this initiative trains low-income communities to minimize textile waste. By converting scrap fabrics, deadstock materials, and discarded consumer plastics into designer consumer goods, our participants minimize production material overheads while building competitive green businesses.
