Largest Display of Handmade Fabric Flowers | Guinness World Records
Sewing World achieved a Guinness World Record for the Largest Display of Handmade Fabric Flowers featuring 63,682 handmade flowers.
The Achievement
In one of our most visually stunning sustainability events, we achieved a Guinness World Record for the Largest Display of Handmade Fabric Flowers. This monumental installation featured a staggering 63,682 individual pieces, transforming the Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya into a vibrant garden of sustainable art.
Zero Waste Craftsmanship
This project was designed to showcase the beauty of fabric upcycling. By utilizing fabric scraps and remnants to create tens of thousands of flowers, the event highlighted how the sewing community can implement zero-waste practices, ensuring that no textile material goes to waste.
Social Impact
This record remains a testament to the power of inclusive sustainability events, proving that when government agencies, NGOs, and marginalized communities collaborate, they can create world-class art that respects both people and the planet
Inclusive Sustainability
Beyond the environmental impact, this event was a pillar of social sustainability. It brought together a diverse coalition—including Mostwell Sdn Bhd, Perbadanan Putrajaya, PSJK, and Jabatan Penjara Malaysia (the Malaysian Prisons Department). The mission was to foster national unity and provide rehabilitation through therapeutic, creative skill-building.
